Last week saw the arrival of several new releases in the physical games market, though just one made it into the top 10 for its debut. That game is RoboCop: Rogue City, which comes in at number four. The top three is pretty insurmountable at this point, though Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and EA Sports FC 24 have swapped places.
The rest of the top 10 is business as usual; Hogwarts Legacy moves up into sixth, while Assassin's Creed Mirage has dropped from fifth to eighth. EA Sports UFC 5 has left the top 10, now residing in 13th. The largest decline comes from Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, which moves from fourth all the way down to number 30. Those other new releases we mention are in the top 20, including Star Ocean: The Second Story R in 16th and EA Sports WRC in 19th.
Here's the latest top 10 in full (physical games only).

I'm sad to see Star Ocean come in at number 16. I've had so much fun with it over the weekend and hope they get all the succes they deserve. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed rpgs in the past.
Impressive for Robocop. Theyl be happy with that one
Hogwarts legacy going strong
@jolteon23 Obviously this scale is only relative and we don't have actual sales numbers. But isn't #16 quite good for a remake of a slightly niche JRPG? Where did you expect it to come? Not every game is expected to sell millions of copies.
@KillerBoy Biggest selling game of the year... and the Switch version doesn't even release till next week. Expect it to get another big boost.
Curious if Spider-Man will get the no1 spot again without a sale or keep dropping.
Robocop is really good, very AA but in the best way.
Robocop is mint
@jolteon23 yeah , it definitely deserves more. I honestly havent bought it yet, but will eventually get it down the road. Just way too many games out right now.
Spidey has been great so far! And I’ve not experienced any bugs… yet.
@AhmadSumadi yeah, Spidey 2 feels really good so far (played 15 hours). It is more evolution than revolution type of game, but for me it feels polished and very engaging than other games this year.
Will def pick up robocop on a sale. No interest in Spidey 2 didn't finish the first as the shallow gameplay got boring and it seems the sequel is more of the same. Glad so many people are enjoying it though
Glad to see Robocop doing well. It's higher than I was expecting.
Pleased for RoboCop, not sure I can justify £45 on it, but I'll certainly buy it at some point when reduced. Zero interest in Spiderman though. The legs on Hogwarts! It's been out 9 months and still seeking strongly.
@Shad361 probably won't tbh. Hogwarts switch is out next week and that'll probably dominate past Xmas
@jolteon23 I totally missed that one thanks. 😁
I'm having a blast with Robocop, its easily one of my favourite games from this year
This is just wrong. Robo won’t be bound by spide webbing he does the restraining
Its going to be interesting to see the full (digital included) chart for these weeks, what with Alan Wake and Yakuza: Like A Yakuza: Ninja Gaiden going digital only.
Just finished Robocop last night, for anyone who just enjoys a fun game without a million markers on a map I cannot recommend this enough.
It was such a pallette cleanse from the beigefest lately.
@StuartMc1 Robocop £45 - solid 20 hours entertainment, with replayability. (3 endings)
Best money I have spent in the last 2 years.
@Fishnpeas That's good to know.
Hogwarts Legacy sixth? Must be the best selling game of the year.
Can we sunset these useless physical sales. It's been obsolete for years now, they either find a way to publish digital sales too or just stop with this nonsense altogether.
I'm really happy for the RoboCop developers. Reviews were up and down, but the player scores have been pretty consistently high and word of mouth has been really great.
It's my personal GOTY because I'm a huge Robo fan and I've had more fun playing Rogue City than anything else this year.
I'm about halfway through my second play through and hoping for a NG+ soon (robo fingers crossed).
EA's bet paid off. They never needed the FIFA name to sell their little footie game. On the plus side this allows FIFA themselves to pay someone else to make a (hopefully competent) competitor. With someone to challenge them again maybe EA will get of their butts and really start improving their games, or FIFA will start taking a bite out of their profits.
Impressive for Robocop actually.
Played Robocop all weekend, an authentic experience, I hope it gets a new game plus mode.
"B*tches come"
Glad to see hogwarts still up there. Well deserved as its a brilliant game.
@themightyant hopefully we got more games like these and Less games as a service
I know Push Square is a playstation focused website but I find it rather rude and insulting that the whole article fails to give any credit or even acknowledge the Fact that Super Mario Wonder has secured a 2nd successive week at number 1
@themightyant Yeah, maybe you're right and I was expecting too much of it, despite the niche it is in. I just would have loved to see it come in within the top 10. I really hope their succes warrants more of these types of quality remakes.
@Shad361 It will keep dropping because the initial pre order and day one sales were sky high, but as time goes on its price length and subject matter in some areas may put off some players. Before people have a go at me for saying that, remember devs can make whatever they want, but they can't force people to spend money on something they aren't interested in.
